In Sri Lanka today, hunger wears the face of innocence—of children like five-year-old Sanjana, nine-year-old Sneha, and eleven-year-old Vinitharan. Apart from the physical effects of huger, which are many, hunger also negates a person’s dignity. At the end of the day Hunger is a primal need. No one should ever think that they should fight for food.
